Day 1 • Saturday • Say hello to adventurous Cuba

  • Arrival at Havana’s José Martí International (HAV) airport.
  • Transfer to, and check-in at your boutique accommodations is prearranged.
  • Enjoy a welcome cocktail, freshen up, and settle in.
  • Group arrival dinner with your guide and tourmates.
  • Evening exploration with tourmates and time to meet Cubans.

Day 2 • Sunday • Romancing Old Havana, old cars + castles

  • Greet the day with tasty breakfast at your boutique accommodations.
  • Get to know the innovative mechanics and chauffeurs who lovingly restore 1950s classic American cars during a drive around El Morro.
  • Visit Cuba’s National Capitol Building, a Latin American architectural treasure. Meet Cubans who maintain the facilities and learn about its recent restoration.
  • Walking tour of the four historic plazas in Old Havana with a local guide. Meet residents and shopkeepers along the way, many of whom are beneficiaries of our humanitarian travel project.
  • Welcome lunch at the private restaurant El Rum Rum.
  • Visit the Museum of Rum and learn more about Cuba's ancient traditions and their contribution to Cuban culture.
  • Return to your boutique accommodations and freshen up.
  • Group welcome dinner at the private restaurant Mojito Mojito.
  • Time to explore the city with your new Cuban friends.

Day 3 • Monday • Viñales Valley, land of the gods

  • Greet the day with tasty breakfast at your boutique accommodations.
  • Departure to Viñales Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Meet the family who operates Finca Agroecologica El Paraiso organic farm.
  • Lunch with Finca Agroecologica El Paraiso family.
  • Visit a privately-owned small tobacco plantation and learn the art of hand-rolled Habano cigars.
  • Boat ride through Cueva del Indio [Indian cave] with Cubans and tourmates.
  • Check-in to your boutique accommodations in Viñales.
  • Time to relax and freshen up for an entertaining evening.
  • Dinner tonight at El Campesino Yuri y Nino private restaurant.
  • Time to explore Viñales with tourmates and new Cuban friends.

Day 4 • Tuesday • Cayo Levisa nature reserve

  • Greet the day with tasty breakfast at your boutique accommodations.
  • Morning departure Cayo Levisa island to learn from Cubans about its mangrove forests and endemic bird species, as well as its marine biology while snorkeling.
  • Traditional Cuban criollo lunch at Cayo Levisa.
  • Return to your boutique accommodations in Viñales, time to freshen up for the evening.
  • Dinner not included in tour cost – an occasion to sample the stellar private eateries.
  • Time to explore Viñales with tourmates and new Cuban friends.

Day 5 • Wednesday • Horseback riding

  • Greet the day with tasty breakfast at your boutique accommodations.
  • Visit a horse ranch and zipline park with Cubans.
  • Lunch at Balcón del Valle private restaurant.
  • Return to your boutique accommodations in heavenly Havana.
  • Check-in, relax, and freshen up for the evening.
  • Dinner not included in tour cost. It’s an occasion to sample Havana’s stellar private eateries.
  • Time to explore the city with your new Cuban friends.

Day 6 • Thursday • Biking, connecting with Cubans, great food

  • Greet the day with tasty breakfast at your boutique accommodations.
  • Explore Havana’s Vedado neighborhood with Cubans on a bike excursion.
  • Lunch at Iván Chef Justo private paladar.
  • Farewell group dinner at the private restaurant Los Naranjos.

Day 7 • Friday • Farewell Cuba. For now.

  • Transfer to Havana’s José Martí International (HAV) airport for flights home.
